The below SMS / text message was not sent by HomeAway.  This is a phishing scam, targeting your, or personal email account username and password.  Phishing is a common form of online identity theft, and it occurs when a criminal is able to capture your email password and access your inbox.

This message is originating from several different phone numbers and the messaging may be slightly different.  HomeAway/VRBO does not send text messages asking you to verify your login.

If you clicked on the link and entered your username and password, please remain on hold in order to speak with a member of our Customer Experience team.  We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

If you did not click on the link, please delete the message and do not communicate with the sender.  Although you received the phishing SMS, if you did not enter your username, password or any other security information into the phishing site then your account(s) will not be impacted.
