Attracting Travelers

How do I attract more travelers to my HomeAway listing?

Consider upgrading to a higher Subscription Level
Improve performance year-round by upgrading your listing to a higher Subscription Level. Select a higher level any time throughout the year to move up in search results and benefit from additional add-ons included in each level.

Impact listing position in search results
Within a Subscription Level, vacation rental owners and managers can impact a listing's position in search results. The order in which listings are displayed within a Subscription Level is determined by a wide variety of factors which reflect the quality of listings in the eyes of travelers. To maintain a high quality listing:

1. Upload 24 high-quality photos.
2. Provide
rental rates.
3. Permit travelers to zoom on your map as close as possible.
4. Accept traveler payments via
credit card or eChecks or use online booking.
5. Update your
calendar as soon as you book a reservation.
6. Establish tenure.
7.
Solicit reviews from past guests.

Promote your listing
Featured Listings: When you purchase a Featured Listing, your thumbnail photo and listing summary will appear in rotation for one of three prime positions on your location-specific landing page. You can also purchase a Silver, Gold, or Platinum level subscription that includes a Featured Listing. At these levels, your listing will also appear higher on the search results page.

Special Offers: A Special Offer is a limited-time advertisement to promote your rental rate discount or a deal on extra rental services (welcome gift, discount or free tickets to local activities/ events, complimentary nights, etc.). Many owners and property managers run a Special Offer when they want to book a week at the last-minute due to a cancellation or to book weeks in the off-season when business is slow.
