We hope to generate a good number of enquiries and bookings for our advertisers. However, there a number of factors involved, such as the amount of competition in your area, rental prices and photos, which will affect response. Please read about some of the factors that can help you get more enquiries and bookings for your property: Compare your property We would recommend looking at the other properties on the list pages for your area - compare your location, facilities and rental prices and ensure that you are competitive. If your property is more expensive than the other properties then travellers may be choosing to enquire and/or look at these other properties. Also ensure that you update your prices on a regular basis to remove any dates that have passed. Photos If there’s one thing you absolutely have to get right, it’s choosing the right photographs to upload to your listing. A picture really does tell a thousand words. Your photographs have to show travellers why they should choose hire your property for their holiday. If you don’t display an advantage over the competitors in your area, you will miss out on enquiries and bookings. Changing the thumbnail image on a regular basis can be beneficial as many travellers who search the listings regularly will click to view what may be considered a 'new' listing. We also suggest you add captions to your photos so travellers get a good idea of what they are viewing. All owners have the ability to display 20 photos with each listing. For a complete photo guide please click here. Property Description We recommend looking at your property on the list page as a potential traveller. Do the details you have included encourage you to look at your listing if you were intending to book a property? The Brief Summary for List Page is the 'shop window' for information about your property and must be ‘eye catching’ to a potential traveller. You may want to write a new paragraph or update the information you have already written. Perhaps describe your property in more detail as travellers like to know exactly what they are getting, how far it is to shops and restaurants and places of interest to visit. We would also suggest you make sure your map is showing your location correctly as this is a great way for travellers to see in more detail where they will be staying. Keep you calendar up to date Travellers will invariably use the availability search for holidays. If you have dates free make sure your calendar is updated to reflect this to make sure your listing will appear the availability search. For help updating your calendar please click here.
