The Homeaway app enables HomeAway and VRBO advertisers to view and respond to inquiries, send quotes, and request payments. The app works on iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches, and Androids. Downloading the app: iPhone/iPad Android Updating your App To upgrade to the latest version of the HomeAway Mobile App on your iPhone: 1. Go to the App Store on your phone. 2. Touch Updates in the bottom right hand corner. 3. Locate the HomeAway Mobile App, and touch Update. 4. You may be prompted to enter your Apple credentials. 5. After installation is complete, touch Open to access the new version. To upgrade to the latest version of the HomeAway Mobile App on your Android: 1. In your applications folder, choose the Google Play store. 2. Press Menu and select My Apps. 3. Select the HomeAway App to update. To ensure your HomeAway app stays up to date on your Android: 1. Open the Google Play store from your applications. 2. Touch Menu and select My Apps from the pop-up menu. 3. Select the HomeAway app from the list. 4. Check the check box to “Allow automatic updating.” Checking Inquiries To check your inquiries from your mobile device: 1. Open the HomeAway Mobile application on your phone. 2. You may be prompted to log in. 3. On an iPhone, touch Inbox. On an iPad, touch Home and then Inquiries. On an Android, touch Inquiries. 4. Touch on an inquiry to view details. You can view the date and time the inquiry was sent, the dates of the inquiry and the number of guests. You can also see where the inquiry originated (HomeAway or VRBO), if your property is listed on both sites. Responding to Inquiries To respond to an inquiry from your mobile device: 1. Open the HomeAway Mobile application on your phone. 2. You may be prompted tolog in. 3. On an iPhone, touch Inbox. On an iPad, touch Home, and then Inquiries. On an Android, touch Inquiries. 4. Select an inquiry. **To reply as available: 5. Touch Reply and choose Available. A template will populate that indicates the property is available to rent. 6. Add a quote by touching Add Quote and following the steps. Then edit your reply, if necessary, and touch Send. **To reply as unavailable: 5. Touch Reply and choose Unavailable. A template will populate that indicates that the property is unavailable to rent. Edit your reply, if necessary, and touch Send. **To send a customized reply: 5. Touch Reply and choose Custom. 6. Enter the reply that you'd like to send to your traveler. 7. You can optionally add a quote by touching Add Quote, or just send the reply by touching Send at the top right. Adding Quotes to Replies To add a price quote to an inquiry response from your mobile device: 1. Open the HomeAway Mobile application on your phone. 2. You may be prompted to log in. 3. On an iPhone, touch Inbox. On an iPad, touch Home and then Inquiries. On an Android, touch Inquiries. 4. Touch on an inquiry to view. 5. Select Reply and choose either Available or Custom. If you select Available, a template will populate for you which you can edit or use as-is. If you select Custom, you can enter your own response. 6. Touch Add Quote on the right. 7. On an iPhone or iPad, select Fixed Amount or Nightly, then enter the corresponding rates in the Amount box. On an Android, touch Rental Agreement and select All Nights or Nightly. 8. You can optionally enter fees, sales and lodging tax, a Property Damage Protection plan, or a refundable damage deposit. 9. On an iPhone or iPad, touch Save at the top when your quote is complete. On an Android, touch Review and then touch Save. 10. Review your reply and quote, edit if necessary, and then touch Send. Sending a Payment Request (Please note you must be enrolled in ReservationManager™ to use this function.) 1. Open the HomeAway Mobile application on your iPhone, Android or other supported device. 2. You may be prompted to log in. 3. On an iPhone, touch Inbox. On an iPad, touch Home, and then Inquiries. On an Android, touch Inquiries. 4. Touch on an inquiry to view details. 5. Touch Book It. 6. Touch the drop down menus to add the rental costs and fees then touch Next. 7. Select the number of payments you’d like to schedule. Touch Next. 8. Enter your cancellation policy and upload a rental agreement, if available. Touch Next. 9. Review the payment request and edit the message to the guest. Touch Next. Note: On an Android you touch Send. 10. Send the response and your guest can confirm the booking via a link in your request. Calling a guest from an inquiry This is for inquiries where the potential guest has included a phone number and for devices capable of making a phone call. 1. From the inquiry details, touch ‘Call Guest.’ 2. You will see a pop-up confirming your request, touch Call. Viewing your Calendar To view your listing’s calendar from your mobile device: 1. Open the HomeAway mobile application on your phone. 2. You may be prompted tolog in. 3. On an iPhone, touch Inbox. On an iPad, touch Home, and then Inquiries. On an Android, touch Inquiries. 4. Select an inquiry. 5. Touch the calendar button at the top right to confirm availability. On an iPhone and iPad booked dates are denoted by red fill, and on an Android they are denoted by dots. Adding/Removing Tentative Dates on your Calendar To add/remove tentative dates from your listing’s calendar on your mobile device: 1. Open the HomeAway mobile application on your phone. 2. You may be prompted to log in. 3. On an iPhone, touch Inbox. On an iPad, touch Home, and then Inquiries. On an Android, touch Inquiries. 4. Select an inquiry. 5. Touch the calendar button at the top right to confirm availability. 6. Touch Add or Remove dates. 7. These dates are tentative dates marked on your calendar, and only correspond to the inquiry from which you’ve accessed your calendar. To book dates for a confirmed reservation, visit your dashboard or follow the Creating New Reservations on your Calendar directions below. Marking your Calendar as Up-to-Date for Travelers To mark your calendar up-to-date(not yet available for android): 1. Open the HomeAway mobile application on your iOS 6 device. 2. You may be prompted to log in. 3. Touch Inbox. 4. Touch the calendar icon at the top. 5. Touch Calendar is Up-to-Date. Creating New Reservations on your Calendar To create a new reservation on your device (not yet available for Android): 1. Open the HomeAway mobile application on your iOS device. 2. You may be prompted to log in. 3. Touch Inbox. 4. Touch the calendar icon at the top. 5. Touch the desired start date of the reservation. The date will be outlined in blue. 6. Touch the + sign in the upper right hand corner. 7. Edit details to fit the reservation. 8. Touch Done to finalize. Editing Existing Reservations on your Calendar To edit an existing reservation on your device (not yet available for Android): 1. Open the HomeAway mobile application on your iOS device. 2. You may prompted to log in. 3. Touch Inbox. 4. Touch the calendar icon at the top. 5. Select the reservation you would like to edit. 6. Touch the pencil icon in the top right corner. 7. Make necessary edits. 8. Touch Done to finalize. Blocking Dates on your Calendar To block dates on your calendar on your device (not yet available for Android): 1. Open the HomeAway mobile application on your iOS device. 2. You may be prompted to log in. 3. Touch Inbox. 4. Touch the calendar icon at the top. 5. Select the reservation you would like to edit. 6. Touch the pencil icon in the top right corner. 7. Touch Status. 8. Select Unavailable. 9. Touch Check-in and select the dates you wish to block out. 10. Touch Done to finalize. Contacting the Traveler by Phone To contact the traveler by iPhone or Android: 1. Open the HomeAway mobile application on your phone. 2. You may be prompted to log in. 3. Touch Inbox. 4. Select an inquiry. 5. If the guest has included a phone number in the inquiry, you can touch Call Guest at the bottom of the message to initiate a call. 6. You can also call a guest from a reservation. Touch on the dates, and if there is a phone number in the reservation, you can touch Call to contact that guest. Managing Multiple Calendars for Multiple Properties To manage multiple calendars on your device: 1. Open the HomeAway mobile application on your iOS device. 2. You may be prompted to log in. 3. Touch Inbox. 4. Touch on calendar icon at the top. 5. Touch the Home icon. 6. Select the property you wish to access. Keep in mind, if you update your HomeAway calendar, the VRBO calendar for the same listing will also be updated. |
