The VRBO Bear is the VRBO.com mascot. The Bear travels to and stays in some of the rentals listed on VRBO.com. Each time the Bear visits a rental, he leaves a review and a photo on the listing so that other travelers can read of his experiences. You can read his reviews here. Use the form here to invite the Bear to stay at your rental. If you have more than one rental you'd like the Bear to visit, please include the listing ID numbers in the Comments field. If the Bear visit your rental, your listing will receive additional exposure and a valuable Bear Review. The Bear Review page is just one or two clicks from the homepage, and your Bear Review will remain posted there as long as your rental is listed with VRBO.com. Fewer than one rental in 800 has hosted the VRBO Bear, making it a distinctive addition to your listing. A listing on VRBO.com makes you automatically eligible to participate in our Bear program. When a VRBO.com employee will be visiting your area, he or she will contact you by email to arrange forĀ a Bear stay and review. The following items summarize what is customary for a VRBO Bear stay: - The owner or property manager provides a complimentary stay at the selected rental. The Bear is accompanied by a VRBO employee and (usually) some family and/or friends. - The VRBO employee pays your customary cleaning fee, refundable security deposit, and any required taxes for the stay. We try to avoid or minimize any expense to you by arranging Bear visits during your less popular seasons or other unbooked dates. - The VRBO employee (as the Bear) provides a personalized review of your rental. - The "VRBO Stayed Here" icon will be added next to your listing in the search results to indicate that the Bear has stayed there. - The Bear review, along with a picture of the Bear at your rental, will be added to your listing. - The Bear review and picture will also display on the VRBO Stayed Here page. The VRBO Bear program is completely voluntary, and there is no obligation to participate. Due to its exclusive nature, many owners and property managers eagerly welcome a VRBO Bear stay. |
